An Observation About Paul Ryan

I don't know if anyone has made this connection, but I noticed that Representative Paul Ryan, now the Republican VP nominee, represents Wisconsin's 1st District.

The 1st District includes the community of Oak Creek.

Oak Creek, WI is where the Sikh shooting took place.

I don't know if this means anything or if this connection will come up in the campaign, but I'm thinking it might given the current mood towards gun control.

This Just Happened

Said to the boss when we both had the same idea, "Great minds think alike."

He responded with "...and fools seldom differ."

US TV Abroad

If you have a friend or relative that is in the military overseas or anyone who is traveling overseas and they have a Roku box, then they can watch live US TV shows for free over the Internet using the private channel USTVNOW. When they access their Roku profile, there is an area where they can add this private channel. Then they will be given a code when they go to access US TV NOW on their Roku which they will enter on the US TV NOW web site when they register. I just found out about this, but I haven't used it since I'm not overseas.

Romney vs. Paul

"Everybody's making a big deal about the number of cars Mitt Romney has, but nobody says a word about how many mules Ron Paul owns." -- Andy Richter
Breitbart's Obama Video

The video was supposed to be released on March 1st. Now we are told it will be released in a week to 10 days. Why the delay? Is it being watered down?

Release the video now. Do not wait. Do not edit.

Fraud at the Highest Levels

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies in the heart of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague…” ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero, speech to the Roman Senate.

Sugar Water, Maybe Not

This blog post is in response to this article on Tech Crunch.

While I agree that maybe this generation is not as great as the generation that put men on the moon, we should step back and look at all the world has today.

Genetic engineering, space telescopes, quantum mechanics, a private space industry, more media available today than ever before, the world wide web, inexpensive, but powerful computing power, networks that allow people to share their lives with anyone just about anywhere, and the ability to express oneself to a world wide audience without the approval of a network executive.

All in all, I would say that a lot has been accomplished. Hopefully, tomorrow will be even greater.

Vote for Ron Paul

Iowans, please vote for Ron Paul.

The system needs a shakeup. Nothing would do that more than to elect Ron Paul.
Right now, Ron Paul scares the establishment. It threatens their power. They don't know how to control him and for this reason, regardless of Ron Paul's positions, he needs to be elected. Business as usual needs to stop.

Just look at how the media is attacking Paul. They love to bring up things that happened 20 years ago. They scare old people by making them think he will legalize prostitution and drugs. Really? Do you honestly think this would happen?

For one thing, the President does not make laws. The only thing the President can do is approve of laws presented to him by the Congress. So if Paul tries to do anything too radical, the Congress will stop him.

Why do I like Ron Paul? I think he would restore the balance of power to the States. I think he would reduce our role as policeman of the world. I think he would force the Federal government to be more fiscally responsible. I think he would eliminate the bad legislation that is in violation of our Constitution.
